Margie Carpenter has recently left the corporate world after 20 years in the fee-only financial advisory world to start her own firm.

In March, 2010, she launched Bell Tower Advisors, a financial advisory and independent research practice.

Prior to venturing out on her own, she was responsible for managing client investment portfolios for large advisory practices, (her total AUM was over $150 million) and working directly with high net worth clients with assets ranging from $1 million to over $15 million. One of her passions has always been analyzing unique asset classes, and seeking the optimal ways to invest in these asset classes.

In prior positions she was also responsible for researching, analyzing and building “Approved Funds List” for use in client portfolios. She has conducted independent research for advisors in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Her research work has been published in The Journal of Financial Planning and Financial Advisor Magazine.

She holds both the CFP® and the CIMA® designations. She has an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a BA from Bates College in Maine.

In her spare time, she volunteers at The Gathering Place, a local, non-profit organization catering to those who have, or have been touched by, cancer.
